The contracting table has today approved the offers presented by the UTE San Esteban, for the drafting of the master plan, and Oyco, for the pedestrian conditioning of the environment.
Both actions reach a budget of 274,000 euros plus VAT.
Two projects that will allow the recovery of the San Esteban site and its surroundings have today surpassed a new process for its implementation.
Specifically, the Contracting Bureau has agreed to start the ten-day period stipulated by the legislation so that the awarded companies submit the necessary documentation that allows proposing to the Governing Board to authorize the contracts and start the works.
Specifically, it is the drafting of the master plan and the plan of pedestrian conditioning of the environment, which will allow Murcia and visitors to know on the spot and first hand the development of works to recover the deposit.
The meeting held this morning, chaired by the Councilor for Finance and Contracting, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, and the attendance of representatives of all municipal groups, has agreed, according to the corresponding technical reports, to award the wording of the master plan to the UTE San Esteban, formed by Manuel Jódar Casanova, Juan Carlos Cartagena Seville, Clavel Arquitectos and CETEC.
The proposal they submitted, with a budget of € 131,400 plus VAT, received the highest score in terms of method and work program and intervention and management plans, and equaled the highest rating in terms of memory and the professional merit of the technical team.
The evaluation took into account the inputs, advice and recommendations of external advisors.
After completing these procedures, the drafting team will have 9 months to deliver the final document.
To do this, it will present the progress within 2 months, will have 4 months for the consultation phase and initial proposal and 3 more months to complete the plan.
The priority will be to offer viable solutions for the adequate recovery of the garden and the enhancement of the archaeological zone, besides attending the tourist and cultural integration of the palace and the Church.
For this, the plan will define the final solutions and actions to develop.
Opened by Works
In the same process of contracting is the project of pedestrian conditioning of the environment of the deposit.
In this case, 61 bidders attended to take charge of its execution, and has been selected Hydraulics and Fraguados OYCO, which has 10 days to present the documentation that allows to propose to the Governing Board the award, with a budget of 142,000 euros plus VAT .
The works, which have a planned execution period of two months, will recover for the pedestrian the perimeter space of the old garden.
They will consist of the recovery of the current pavement in the perimeter of the Palacio de San Esteban and the construction of new sidewalks in the adjacent streets, as well as the integral renovation of the lighting system, which will be provided with greater power and lower consumption.
To do this, the current fence will be replaced by a steel railing that will open the space to anyone who passes through the area, improving visibility and accessibility, as well as road safety, both for vehicles and pedestrians.
When both companies register the legally enforceable documentation, the Board of Hiring will raise a proposal of award, which, in a few days, will be approved by the Board of Governors, thus giving way to the beginning of the works.
