The Parks and Gardens Service, which is part of the Department of Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation, works these days in the pruning of the more than 10.000 examples of roses existing in the urban area and the districts.
During three weeks more than a dozen people will be in charge of performing this pruning at the ideal time for the plant, when it is in a state of vegetative stop.
Specifically, explains the mayor of Modernization, José Guillén, "cut when they are at the time of the most appropriate year and is done leaving always about 20 or 30 centimeters of soil so that from March have a suitable growth and showy."
