The University of Murcia (UMU) is the coordinator of the international MobiAbility project, which aims to promote the mobility of students with disabilities and thus reduce the low percentage of participation in exchange programs.
With a funding of 168,315 euros, obtained by the UMU in public and competitive call of the Ministry of Education, the project will develop over the next three years a standard of care measures for disability in the European higher education environment and a communication protocol Telematic, multilingual and direct between universities.
With this, students with disabilities will know in advance what support measures can be found in each destination university, where a better service of individualized follow-up of cases will also be provided.
Participating in the consortium are the universities Masarykova Univerzita (Czech Republic), Politechnica Lubelska (Poland) and Universitatea "Ajexandru Ioan Cuza" (Romania), as well as the ONCE Foundation, CERMI Region of Murcia and the Universia Foundation.
The initial meeting of the consortium is held today and tomorrow at the Faculty of Law of the UMU, on the campus of La Merced.
