Through a collaboration agreement with the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia, 53 new sports facilities will receive a defibrillator.
The City Council will give 15 training courses for the use of these devices, allowing the management of 300 people to avoid possible cardiac arrests
The Governing Board has approved a collaboration agreement with the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia for the donation of 53 defibrillators to municipal sports facilities both in the urban and districts.
This figure is added to the installations that already have this apparatus, Palacio de Los Deportes;
Pavilions Prince of Asturias, Cagigal, Infante Juan Manuel, Félix Rodriguez de la Fuente, The Tower in Tocinos Bridge, Santo Ángel, El Esparragal, Espinardo;
Swimming pools Mar Menor, Infante, Tocinos Bridge, El Palmar, Murcia Park;
Monte Romero Stadium;
Football fields José Barnés, El Ranero, El Esparragal, Zeneta and Los Garres;
Polideportivo El Palmar;
And sports courts José Barnés.
The objective of this action is to extend the sanitary protection of the athletes in the sports facilities by means of the installation of these apparatuses.
In this way, the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia acquires the commitment to donate defibrillators in the following sports facilities:
Football fields of: La Flota, Patiño, Santiago El Mayor, La Alberca, Alquerías, Barqueros, Beniaján, Churra, Corvera, Espinardo, Los Garres, Guadalupe, Javalí Viejo, New Javalí, Llano de Brujas, Puebla de Soto, Tocinos Bridge , El Puntal, El Raal, Los Ramos, Rincón de Seca, San Jose de la Vega, Sangonera la Seca, Sangonera la Verde, Sucina, Torreaguera, La Raya, El Palmar and Algezares.
The Pavilions and Sports Centers that will have defibrillators are: San José de la Vega, Federico de Arce, Narciso Yepes, Cabezo de Torres, La Alberca, Alquibla, Corvera, Los Dolores, Javalí Viejo, Javalí Nuevo, El Palmar, Sangonera La Seca, Sangonera la Verde, Sucina, Beniaján, Torreaguera, Aljucer, Alquerías, Albatalía, Los Martínez del Puerto, San Ginés, Zarandona and Zeneta.
For its part, the City of Murcia acquires the commitment to install the equipment donated in the indicated sports pavilions and football fields, and will ensure the proper use and maintenance of the same, once installed in the different sports facilities.
Semi-automatic defibrillators are devices capable of diagnosing and treating cardiorespiratory arrest.
Through a series of auditory indications and images are able to guide its users to assist a person in situation of possible cardiac arrest.
The apparatus itself will determine whether or not it is necessary to perform a discharge.
The semiautomatic external defibrillator (DESA) is designed for those cases of cardiac arrest occurring outside the hospital because its simplicity of use makes it possible for non-medical personnel to safely and effectively handle the instructions for use that the defibrillator indicates in every step.
The City Council plans to develop 15 training courses for the management of these defibrillators, which will allow 300 people, who currently make use of the facilities where they are to be installed, to handle it.
This action is part of the municipal program 'Murcia te cuida'.
