The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, met today with the president of the Jesus Abandoned Foundation, José Moreno Espinosa, to study the data of 2016 and to promote new ways of collaboration with the Foundation, which last year offered more than 300,000 services Food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and daily accommodation to 300 people homeless.

The mayor, for his part, emphasized the work of Jesus Abandoned during the past episodes of rains that were recently recorded in the municipality.
"We contacted them and sought their collaboration so that there would be absolutely no one sleeping on the street, as we lived a dangerous situation and there was a real risk to the safety of people," said José Ballesta.
In this regard, José Moreno noted that, in effect, "Abandoned Jesus did not let anyone sleep in the street and we even had contracted pensions to provide accommodation to anyone who needed it."
