More than 10,000 Murcia have participated in the various activities of Reciclamos la Navidad, the campaign of the Department of Development and the concessionaire of the municipal cleaning service, Ferrovial that has hosted the city of Murcia since 23 December.
Among the activities scheduled has highlighted the workshop of recycling balls that the little ones have elaborated to decorate the Christmas trees installed in the Almudí Palace, Episcopal Palace, City Museum, Circus Theater and Teatro Romea.
Among the messages that the children have projected in the ornaments, they emphasize phrases to contribute to the sustainability and to take care of the environment like recycle more paper and cardboard, to always paint in folios of recycled paper, not to contaminate the water with oil, to save more energy, to use Less the car or not cut more trees.
Through this campaign, hundreds of children, accompanied by their families, have been able to check on the spot their contribution to a more sustainable Christmas thanks to these ornaments, while they have been able to know closely the uses and services of several emblematic buildings of their city .
During a total of thirteen days, the Great Ball of Christmas, installed in the square of the Red Cross, has hosted more than a hundred activities of spirit and Christmas atmosphere to foment the care of its surroundings and to obtain a better planet besides fomenting Waste recycling habits thanks to actions such as workshops with plastic bottles, sustainable stories, puppet theater, Christmas catwalk, musical animation, ecotourism circuit of Christmas elves, Santa Claus, Paje Real or real mailbox of recycling.
