The Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Murcia (UMU) has collected a total of 1,203 kilos of food in its "Mesa Solidaria de Navidad", which will go to the social dining room of the foundation Jesus Abandoned.
This is the ninth year in which the Faculty carries out this initiative, promoted by the Concierge of the university center, to collect clothes, donations and non-perishable foods.
In addition, the UMU has just made public that the staff of the educational institution has donated to the same charitable foundation a total of 168,150 euros in the last five years, under an agreement signed at the time by the University and Jesus Abandoned.
In fulfillment of this agreement, the University of Murcia is in charge of processing the donations that the members of the university community do in favor of Jesus Abandonado.
The General Secretariat of UMU recalled that people interested in joining this group of donors can do so by accessing the link https://rrhh.um.es/rrhh/paginas/datospersonal/login.seam, in which they must communicate the Amount that they wish to be deducted from the monthly payroll.
