The meeting was convened to study the allegations submitted to the rules of the Transportation Bureau after 60 days of public exposure.
In this period 7 claims of Ecologistas en Acción (who have sent two), Thader Consumption, Famdif-Cocemfe, Federation of Neighborhood Associations of districts and districts of Murcia, FROET and a private individual have been presented.
All of them have accepted the suggestion to incorporate an environmental organization to the Transportation Bureau.
After receiving the approval in this Commission, the regulation will be approved of definitive form in the plenary of the month of January.
Councilor Roque Ortiz, explained that "it is the intention of the Municipal Corporation to immediately establish the Transportation Bureau, once its regulations are approved, to analyze, among other issues, the different requests of the presidents of the related Municipal Boards With the improvement of public transport in its districts and its impact on municipal budgets. "
Likewise, the rules for the operation of this new body will be elaborated and should be approved at its first session.
This Municipal Transportation Bureau will be the organ of participation in which the agencies, entities and agents most representative in the field of transport of the city of Murcia, raise the problems of mobility and analyze and promote initiatives to promote the use of public transport sustainable.
In this way, this Bureau will be in charge of determining the principles, strategic lines and objectives of urban transport in the municipality of Murcia, integrating sustainable public transport policies in land management and raising awareness of citizens to consider their use as a social good .
In addition, it seeks to improve coordination and cooperation with the Regional Administration and other local entities in the area of ​​influence and also to achieve cooperation with social, economic and user associations.
