The Department of Modernization of the Urban Quality and Participation Administration has signed a collaboration agreement with the Bishopric of Cartagena in order to carry out the rehabilitation works of the landscaped areas of the Fuensanta Sanctuary.
The concrete actions will be detailed in the project that will be presented by the technicians appointed by the bishopric, in order that this space can be enjoyed by the neighbors of the municipality.
To this end, work will be carried out on the planting of trees and shrubs, creation of new living areas, arrangement of flower beds and pavement repair.
In this way, the Department of Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation will grant the subsidy to the Diocese of Cartagena once the agreement has been signed and the detailed project of the rehabilitation actions has been delivered and approved for a total amount of € 36,000
The City Council intends to participate in the recreational, social and cultural revitalization of this area.
It should be remembered that in August the conditioning work was carried out in the back of the Sanctuary, where the garden is extended, which consisted of the arrangement of the pedestrian walkway, the replacement of the curbs and the repair of the parterres .
