The Plenary of the City of Murcia has joined this morning to the institutional recognition of the figure of the Volunteer and the entities of the Volunteering, on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of Volunteering, held on 5 December.
In this way, the work of the volunteer entities and people of the municipality of Murcia who collaborate day by day with a disinterested and supportive work is publicly acknowledged and thanked.
Thus, the City of Murcia supports and will continue to collaborate with initiatives and projects organized by these entities dedicated to volunteering, because they have a very positive impact on the general interest of the municipality.
The work of these figures is the expression of organized actions and based on essential democratic values ​​such as social justice and citizen participation.
In addition, the institutional declaration recognizes the new Social Volunteer Program, launched by the Department of Social Rights, establish actions that enhance collaboration and coordination with entities and associations in matters of social volunteering.
