The Governing Council of the University of Murcia (UMU) has approved the regulation that will regulate the organization of the activities that its different centers celebrate to celebrate their patron or patron.
The legislation, which introduces different modifications to the one that existed until now, includes the San Javier and Lorca campuses, limits the number of people who can participate in these acts and regulates the way in which the sale of tickets will be processed to assist the Themselves.
The new regulation, which was previously approved by the corresponding committee and has the support of the students, indicates that it has been agreed due to the large number of participants who, year after year, attend these celebrations, which advised Establish a series of rules aimed at promoting their proper development.
The presentation was made by the Vice Chancellor of Students, Carmen Ferrándiz, who pointed out that acts that do not conform to these regulations can not be promoted by the centers without the prior authorization of the Rector.
And he adds that the UMU will not have intervention nor assume responsibility for festive events that could be promoted in spaces outside their domain or their possession by people or groups that may be part of the university community.
The premises reserved for these celebrations will be the inner courtyard of the La Merced campus, the northern extension of the Espinardo campus and the open-air auditorium located in the vicinity of the University Social Center (CSU).
Because of the proximity to the Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca, it has been decided not to hold this type of activities on the campus of Health Sciences, which may be developed in Espinardo.
In terms of capacity, the regulation says that the same can not exceed the figure of 7,500 people and that the sale of tickets will be carried out through the internet, through the UMU program known as SUMA.
The regulations also contain provisions on the control of access to the premises and, on the other hand, adds that in case the organizers establish a price for entry, it must be authorized by the Rectorate.
