Due to the episode of heavy rains in the municipality, the Teleassistance service of the City of Murcia, a subsidiary of the Council of Social Rights, directed by Conchita Ruiz, has issued and received a total of 692 calls.
The service activated its emergency protocol proceeding to give the appropriate recommendations to the users at risk.
Teleassistance is one of the benefits provided by the City of Murcia for situations of dependency.
More than 2,300 users are currently receiving the care and care of professionals provided by Tunstall-Televida.
The service "has allowed people living alone have had security in the face of this crisis, and can contact through telephone with a center where they have attended specialized people," explained the holder of Social Rights.
This communication is made possible by just pressing the button of the Remote Control Unit (UCR) that the users always carry with them as a pendant or bracelet.
This gesture activates the Teleassistance terminal, immediately and automatically connecting the user with the center of attention.
The City of Murcia has been providing the Home Tele-Assistance Service since 1999 with the aim of "fostering, guaranteeing and promoting the quality of life of our elderly people in their habitual environment", finished Ruiz Caballero.
