Hundreds of friends of the exconcejal will attend this event that pays tribute to the work done by the journalist and exedil Murcia, in favor of their land and the defense of traditions.
Curro Piñana, Maribel Castillo and the Orfeón Murciano Fernández Caballero will be some of the artists and groups that will participate
The Circus Theater hosts a posthumous tribute to the exconcejal of the City of Murcia and journalist Antonio González Barnés, who died last October at the age of 63, after a life dedicated to the city of Murcia, the defense of its traditions and The promotion of Murcian popular culture.
The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and members of the Municipal Corporation, will attend the grand gala tribute to which also is expected to go to the President of the Government of the Region, Pedro Antonio Sánchez;
An event that will count with the presence of hundreds of friends of the exconcejal and the musical performances of artists like Curro Piñana, Maribel Castillo and Orfeón Murciano Fernández Caballero.
During the gala will also participate the representatives of the associations and institutions murcia González Barnés defended during his life, through his work as a public official and as a journalist in the written press, such as the Cabildo de Cofradías or the College of Journalists.
During the event, which will start at 7:00 p.m., the 5th Awards of the bullfighting digital newspaper 'El Muletazo', directed by González Barnés, will also be presented.
The tribute has been organized by the Association of Journalists and the online newspaper El Muletazo.
