The professor of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Murcia (UMU) Javier Corbalán has been elected president of the Ibero-American Association for the Investigation of Individual Differences (AIIDI), a position he assumed in the course of an event held yesterday in The mentioned center, in the campus of Espinardo.
Professor Corbalán was chosen during a conference of this Association held in Sitges (Barcelona), where another UMU professor, Ramón Martín Brufau, was appointed secretary.
AIIDI promotes the investigation of individual differences in intelligence, abilities, temperament and personality.
Its objective is to study the main dimensions of these differences in the context of experimental, physiological, pharmacological, clinical, medical, genetic, statistical and social psychology.
It also seeks to explore the determinants, causes and concomitant factors of individual differences, using concepts derived from these areas.
In the act of the relay were also present, among others, the dean of Psychology, Agustín Romero, and outgoing president, Óscar García, a professor at the Universidad Europea de Madrid.
