The SIME won the trade union elections held yesterday in the City of Murcia, achieving an absolute majority in the General Negotiating Board (52.38% of the representation), with a total of 22 delegates (10 in officials and 12 in labor) Of the 42 eligible.
First of all, we would like to thank all public employees for their participation in the electoral process that we experienced yesterday (67% of the census participation despite the rain).
Likewise, we would like to thank the support we have received from a large part of the staff.
This great responsibility will be handled with humility and reaching out to the other trade union organizations, as we consider that the existing union fracture damages the interests of the workforce.
The intention of SIME from now, once the new negotiating table is constituted, will be the opening of a negotiation process where the signed Agreement is modified, with the aim of improving it considerably.
We understand that the results of yesterday make it clear that a large majority of municipal employees do not want or support the current agreement, as was already evident in the consultation carried out on previous dates.
In this regard, we will send a letter to the Mayor in the next few days to request a meeting to address this issue.
The results are the following:
Staff Meeting: SIME 10, SPLRM-ATABAM 5, CCOO 4, UGT 2, CSIF 2, SOMOS 2
Company Committee: SIME 12, CCOO 5
To thank, once again, all the workers for their participation and support.
