The socialist councilor in the city of Murcia, Maite Espinosa, described as "intolerable" the new closure of the tunnel of Ronda Norte by the leaks that usually suffers on rainy days.

For this reason, the mayor states that "it can not be that every time it rains we have problems of flooding and collapse of traffic because this is absolutely incompatible with the image of development, modernization and security of our municipality" and recalls that "in January and July of this year has already closed this same tunnel to solve those same leaks and we remain the same.

Espinosa warns that "in this municipality it is already a tradition, along with eating crumbs on rainy days, that floods occur, although in this case it is a sad tradition, derived mainly from the incompetence of those responsible for the PP, who do not Take note from time to time. "

He also recalls that it is no longer just a tunnel through the water, "which is already serious because of the traffic problems involved" but also "in Murcia there are no rain collectors, drainage systems, maintenance of scuppers and Ramblas cleanings, as well as a specific risk management plan for the rains, which works in a preventive way and not when we already have the rains on. "

For that reason, he adds that "when it rains the deficiencies and the disturbances to the citizens float".

In this regard, Espinosa said that "we also find flooding in coastal areas, which are new work, and in streets of Jeronimo and Avileses or problems in La Alberca, more specifically the Barrio de los Almendros, without forgetting the areas of Espinardo and Churra, Tocinos Bridge, Zeneta, Los Ramos, Gea and Truyols, Sangonera la Verde or Algezares among others.
