José Ballesta, Pedro Antonio Sánchez and Antonio Sánchez-Solís, held a working meeting with the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Julio Gómez Pomar, yesterday afternoon in San Esteban to coordinate the high-speed work.
The City Council transferred to the Ministry the need to improve North-South accessibility in the surroundings of the old bridge of Camino de Tiñosa, while building the new infrastructure, ensuring permeability in both directions.
The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, the regional chief of staff, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the government delegate, Antonio Sánchez-Solís, held a working meeting with the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport And Housing, Julio Gómez Pomar, to speed up the arrival of the AVE to Murcia, through the joint collaboration between the three Administrations, in the development of works that are being implemented for the arrival of high speed to the Region.
At the meeting, the Ministry moved the need to improve north-south accessibility in the surroundings of the old Camino de Tiñosa bridge, while building the new infrastructure, ensuring permeability in both directions for both the residents of Los Garres and San José de la Vega, as those of Los Dolores.
"We have transferred to Adif the claim that exists on the part of the neighbors of the surroundings and put on the table diverse alternatives to improve the accessibility, as much of the pedestrian traffic as, in turn, requesting the acceleration of the works of the new bridge", he pointed out José Ballesta.
At the meeting, which was also attended by Councilor for Development, Roque Ortiz, and the Minister of Development and Infrastructure, Pedro Rivera, has also been discussed how to accelerate the works of the collectors - both Emuasa and the Board Of hacendados - that are being buried in this moment, "speeding up the arrival of the high speed by means of the provisional route, through the coordination between the three Administrations", indicated the mayor.
"We are speeding up, resolving and coordinating all the works that are in our hand so that there is not a single obstacle or excuse that would imply a new delay in the arrival of the AVE to the Region, an infrastructure that is, at last, at the gates of Murcia and that not only will allow the Murcia we can travel in just over two hours to Madrid, but it is the gateway of thousands and thousands of visitors and tourists to our city.
