The Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, and the Councilor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Pérez, presented this morning the solidarity tournament of football #Sumandosonrisaseducandoenvalores, organized by the Regional Federation of Murcian Students (Feremur), in collaboration with JUDOC and the Local Youth Council.
Entries to participate in the event, which will take place on Saturday December 17 at 9:00 am at the sports center La Vega, cost 3 euros, and all profits will go to the association of hospital clowns' Pupaclown '.
The solidarity tournament plans to bring together more than 100 people to raise funds for children suffering from cancer at the Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca in Murcia.
Pupaclown, Clowns of Hospital aims to achieve, with the art of the clown, that children and young people hospitalized see covered those needs that go beyond those covered by health professionals.
The association was born to relieve the stress produced by hospitalization and performs its work in hospitals where there are children and young people admitted, who are going to be operated on or who have to attend to ongoing treatments for some chronic ailment.
Coello has expressed the importance of "making small children smile with some kind of illness, because multiple scientific studies have shown that laughter is a very important healing element in the treatment of diseases, because it produces beneficial effects and quickly Appreciable ".
