The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and members of the Municipal Corporation inaugurated this afternoon at the confluence of Abenarabi Street with Juan Carlos I Avenue, the garden dedicated to the Las Vegas Trio, along with two members of the mythical group of the decade. The 50: Antonio Martinez Pellicer and Emilio Martinez Palazón.
José Ballesta stressed that the men from the Las Vegas Trio "played the most beautiful bolero and, without a doubt, the most representative song from inside and outside the Region of Murcia, in the 50's of last century.
Today, when we celebrate 60 years of the formation of the group, we pay homage to these artists who were the best ambassadors of Eden or 'cachito de cielo' which is the land of Murcia.
During the event, a performance by Los Parrandboleros (with the sons of Antonio Las Vegas at the head, Antonio and Alfredo Martínez) played the most famous song of the old trio musician-vocal, 'Bolero a Murcia', and also the 'Murcian Coplas ', By the master Manuel Masotti Littel.
The acclaimed Las Vegas Trio has its origins in a contest of new artists held in the grounds of the Murcia Fair in the 1950s, officially forming in 1956, after winning the II National Contest of Habaneras.
His great success, 'Bolero a Murcia', composed by the Aragon Francisco del Val, was for weeks at the top of the lists of radiophonic successes of our country.
They were the greatest exponents of the musical talent Murcia of the mid-twentieth century.
They recorded eight songs that were successful throughout the country, but the group disbanded after the death of one of its members, Asensio Cerezo Iniesta, in 1958. Antonio and Emilio continued their musical careers in other formations, 'Bolero to Murcia'.

One of the surprises that caused the greatest expectation of the pregón of the last Feria de Septiembre was the performance of the almost octogenarian Antonio Martínez 'Las Vegas', who took the stage with his two children (currently members of the Trio Shadows), to interpret The 'Bolero to Murcia', getting the ovation of the auditorium that crammed the Plaza Belluga.
