The Department of Development, through the concession company Tranvía de Murcia, has joined the campaign 'In Reality Has No Grace' developed by the Spanish Red Cross Employment Plan.
The councilman of Fomento, Roque Ortiz, the manager of Tranvía de Murcia, Severiano Arias and Faustino Herrero, autonomous president of the Red Cross, presented this morning the campaign in which all the trams will today expose information in the form of 'perching '(Advertising hangers) so that travelers are aware of the barriers faced by many people on their way to work integration.
Trams will have 2,500 Perchings to raise awareness about discrimination in the workplace.
In this way, we want to contribute to eliminate the prejudices and stereotypes that people in the labor market suffer related to their race, origin, gender or age.
In addition, another objective is to value the contribution of people in social difficulty, as a tool for social cohesion and development.
Thus, Tranvía de Murcia demonstrates its corporate social responsibility by collaborating with this initiative and participating in the social life of the city, making known to its users (more than 22 million travelers in five years) the problems that certain groups suffer.
Spanish Red Cross launched the 'Building Diversity and Integration through Employment' Project in 2010, where the Campaign 'In Reality Has No Grace' is integrated with www.enrealidadnotienegracia.org in order to contribute to the promotion of diversity cultural.
