The collaboration between the Department of Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, led by José Guillén, and IKEA Murcia has allowed to develop a novel and attractive program of activities to be developed under the Christmas tree installed in the Plaza Circular.
For this will be developed workshops for both adults and children with whom, through products from the Swedish multinational, they will be able to create new Christmas elements.
These activities will be held on weekends during the month of December during both morning and afternoon.
Among the workshops are those that teach to create Christmas spaces in the homes or those that show how to elaborate typical characters of these dates.
Councilor José Guillén explained that "thanks to this collaboration between the City and IKEA Murcia we will be able to offer a complete and fun program of free activities for all Murcia families."
Guillén recalled that "under the Christmas tree installed in the Plaza Circular will be developed more than 300 activities that will make it a meeting place for all audiences. Continuously will take place audiovisual shows, magic performances and workshops where children And their families will be able to learn, free of charge, to paint their own nativity figures, to make muffins and Christmas sweets, to plant their own Christmas tree and to enjoy pinatas, dances, theater, storytelling, concerts, Christmas carols and many more surprises " .
The councilman has taken the opportunity to "thank the collaboration of companies, institutions and other groups that have been interested in helping to make this Christmas tree and its activities program a reality, such as Aguas de Murcia, Terra Natura, STV, Ikea, Lego, The Desosío, Symphony Orchestra, San Buenaventura Choir, Carmen Romero, Murcia Dance Center, Irene Jara Artists School, The Fleet Hospitality School, Sicoedu, Coral University, Coral Discantus, School of Hospitality Murciaemplea, Groetsch, Popular TV , And COPE, among others ".
The activities for adults begin on Saturday 10 at 12 noon and will continue on Saturday 17 at 17:30 with the workshop "Dress your Christmas table" where the attendees will know how to design a table with three different styles.
On Sunday 11 at 17:30 and Sunday 18 at 12:30 pm will take place the activity "Tricks to decorate your house Christmas" where you will teach to make table centers and some Christmas tricks.
Children's activities also start tomorrow, Saturday 10 at 5:30 p.m. with "Santa Claus and renjuts RAJTAN" in which children can convert Rajtan spices into fun Christmas characters to keep sweets inside.
On Sunday 11 at 12:00 noon will be held the workshop "Christmas puppets MIXA" in which some beautiful puppets will be created Christmas, while on Friday 16 at 17:30 hours "Mini Smaland MYSTISK wintry" will allow to elaborate a Christmas landscape With cutouts to inhabit a Mystisk dish.
On Saturday 17th at 12:00 noon "Portavelas GALEJ Christmas" the children will create characters to give a Christmas and fun touch to the GALEJ candles to decorate any corner, and, finally, on Sunday 18 at 17:30 hours the workshop "DROMMAR decorative figurines" will teach you to decorate the Christmas tree and any corner with decorative figurines made with your own hands using the DROMMAR cutters.
