The Minister of Fomento and Infrastructures, Pedro Rivera, held this morning a meeting with local representatives and social groups Altorreal, in Molina de Segura, to report on the subsidy granted by the Autonomous Community to improve line 52, which unites this Urbanization with the city of Murcia.
This new service, which is launched today, offers six daily expeditions, from Monday to Saturday throughout the year, covering the times of greatest demand.
Also, there will be special service on Holy Thursday, Bando de la Huerta and Pilgrimage of the Virgin of Fuensanta.
Pedro Rivera said that "this initiative covers a request from the residents of Altorreal and is a clear commitment of the regional government to get the public transport to the places where it is most needed."
The counselor checked the new service by taking a tour of the Altorreal urbanization by bus.
The implementation of these six daily expeditions guarantees the provision of regular public transport service and the access of the more than 10,000 people who live in the urbanization and who use this means of transport to access colleges, universities, Work, health centers and shops.
The Governing Council approved last week a subsidy to the service provider, Transportes de Viajeros de Murcia SLU, for this year and will collect in the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community for 2017 the necessary items for financing next year.
