The University of Murcia Social Center (UMU), on the campus of Espinardo, today hosted, on November 29, the act of delivery of the ten Pablo Artal aids for students and students with a talent in science who have begun their studies in This teaching institution in the present academic year.
The grants, each with 2,000 euros, have been funded by UMU's professor of Optics, who name them and correspond to part of the Jaime I Award in New Technologies that was awarded in 2015.
The students who have received them are: Pablo Saura Bastida, Ana Corbalán Mirete, Víctor Montesinos Llácer and Elisa Serrano Richaud, all of them of the degree of Physics;
Alejandro García García, Pablo García Arias and Marcos Caracena López, of Mathematics;
Carmen Calvo Losada, of Computer Engineering;
Nuria Martínez Lorca, of Chemistry, and Obiora Eduardo Onwvasoanya Martínez, of Biology.
In the act of delivery have intervened the vicerrectores of Students, Carmen Ferrándiz;
Coordination and Internationalization, Bernardo Cascales, and Research, Antonio Juan García, who congratulated the students and thanked Professor Artal for his gesture.
He recalled that he came to the UMU in 1994 and added that with the endowment of aid, he wanted the best to continue to be, to encourage and encourage students and to help them in difficult times.

For his part, the rector, Jose Orihuela, has also had words of gratitude to Professor Artal, who has said that he is one of the UMU researchers who obtains more external funds for this institution.
