More than a hundred of the Albatalía's social center have participated this morning in the march "The Elder against violence of gender," attended by the Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz Caballero.
The activity is framed in the programming of awareness activities on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The City of Murcia has organized numerous activities to commemorate next November 25 in different parts of the municipality, such as meetings and debates;
Exhibitions, communication campaigns, and the distribution of flowers, among others, to raise awareness among the most vulnerable groups, such as adults, women, youth and children.
Ruiz Caballero has stated that "every act of violence against a woman is always a direct attack against the fundamental rights of the people and we must continue to fight tirelessly to end this problem, which is incompatible with freedom."
"The awareness of all people and young people is the fundamental basis for eradicating sexist violence and that is why we must promote education in the values ​​of equality," concluded the Councilor for Social Rights.
