The professor of the Faculty of Social Work of the University of Murcia Conrado Navalón, has been distinguished as Honorary Member of the Union of University Publishers (UNE) for his work during the four years in charge of the Publications Service of the University of Murcia (2010-2014).
From the UNE, it is stated that Professor Navalón, "After his passage leaves the Editum seal with an expanded editorial catalog, constituted the editorial committees of the different collections, provided the necessary tools for the edition of the journals according to the new criteria of Quality and scientific rigor and consolidated other projects for the edition of open books and congresses.
UNE officials also say that Conrado Navalón "managed to link Editum with social work, volunteering and support to the disadvantaged who defined their mandate absolutely."
The professor of the UMU organized the general assembly of the UNE in the year 2015, integrating it in the events of the centenary of the University and of its service of publications.
Together with Conrado Navalón, they have been named Partners of Honor The UNE awards Medals of Honor Partners to Javier Torres (University of Deusto), Ana Bocanegra (University of Cadiz) and Aránzazu García Pizarro (University of La Laguna).
