Let's change Murcia has asked the Government team to reach an agreement with the Board of Farmers of the Huerta to take charge of weeding, cleaning and conservation of irrigation ditches and azarbes, and that contracting To unemployed persons, in collaboration with the municipal boards and under the supervision of the prosecutors of the affected channels.
The municipalist formation, which will take this proposal to Plenary next Thursday, has asked that the works be done respecting the existing cultural and environmental values, without the use of aggressive machinery or herbicides and that in exchange for them, the Junta de Hacendados City Council the amount collected by the concepts of maintenance of the major ditches and channel costs, as well as to be used for this purpose the subsidies that the City Council grants to the Board.
The initiative also calls for the location of discharges and the search for solutions, through the extension of the sanitation network or the use of approved septic tanks, and the placement of posters that announce the imposition of fines for throwing Litter to the riverbeds.
