Ballesta explained in his speech that many sectors such as tourism, commercial or communications are moving towards more modern models that have as common characteristics to be collaborative, more sustainable and more accessible.
In this sense, he emphasized that the energy sector can not be left behind in this evolution and that it must advance taking as axes the people and the technological development.
The Mayor also highlighted Murcia's commitment to climate change and the three pillars of the sustainable energy action plan in the municipality: Reducing Energy Consumption and Emissions, Complementary Measures and Citizen Information, Training and Awareness Campaigns Thus, Has listed the various actions implemented as the energy efficiency plan in lighting and public buildings, the replacement of conventional LED traffic lights, water saving systems in changing rooms, the purification of 100% of waste water, the Cogeneration project EDAR Murcia Este, the implementation of 162 km of cycle paths, hybrid and electric vehicles in the municipal mobile park and public charging system for motorcycles, increased use of the bicycle, the implementation of the MUYBICI public bicycle rental system and the development Of the Local Electric Vehicle Strategy, among others.
On this day, in addition to publicizing the situation and prospects of the Spanish and Murcia photovoltaic and renewable sector, some of the conclusions of the Energy Transition Project will be advanced, which seeks to unify and enhance knowledge about energy alternatives through the synergy of work Interdisciplinary network of leading specialists in medicine, agriculture, engineering, economics and law.
This meeting is part of the new route that ANPIER carries out throughout the Spanish geography to promote the Legal Security of photovoltaic producing families and promote the social use of solar photovoltaic energy.
