300,000 euros is the amount that the Council for Development Cooperation, chaired by the Councilor for Youth and Development Cooperation, approved to finance 25 humanitarian aid projects in countries with low development rates.
Specifically, the countries to which the Department of Development Cooperation is going to provide assistance are Africa, Central and South America and Asia.
More than half the amount of the call will go to the African continent that has the lowest human development indices worldwide, and mainly the subsidized projects will be dedicated to the construction of infrastructures for water and sanitation, promotion of socioeconomic development, education , Health training and improvement of primary care.
The City Council has emphasized that the aid is intended to rebuild infrastructure damaged by the earthquake suffered by Ecuador.
On the other hand, 6 projects will also receive subsidies for development, which will be carried out in Murcia and aim to raise awareness of the needs of developing countries.
Through these projects, Non-Governmental Organizations for Development (NGO's) carry out different activities such as charity careers, photo exhibitions, talks, etc.
