The Ministry of Development and Infrastructures, through the General Direction of Roads, will promote the processing of works that will allow the sidewalk to be adapted in the urban section of the RM-611 road, which is called Carmen Street, Pedanía murcia of the High Era, with the aim of facilitating the displacements of the neighbors between the locality and the murcian hamlet of Puebla de Soto.
José Antonio Fernández, director general of Highways, visited with the pedestrian mayor of Era Alta, José Francisco Pérez, the urban crossing of the highway to know in situ the problem, and indicated that "it lacks the necessary dimensions so that the Pedestrians can carry out in safety and comfort the displacements between both nuclei of population ".
José Antonio Fernández said that the regional government is working in coordination with the City of Murcia in the procedures that allow to authorize this action "so that the works are executed this year".
He also stressed that the Ministry and the City of Murcia will carry out improvement works on this same road, in the section that passes through the hamlet of El Palmar, which will increase the pedestrian traffic of users of the health center and school Ciudad de la Paz .
The works include the repainting of horizontal signage, the renovation of vertical signage and the installation of a pedestrian crossing to facilitate the passage from one area of ​​the hamlet to another.
During the meeting, it was also analyzed the possibility of improving the firm and the conditions of the margins and ditches of the road RM-E2, by which access to the urban nucleus of the hamlet from the old national N-340 (MurciaAlcantarilla).
In this regard, the Director General of Roads informed that this request will be studied and evaluated economically to incorporate it in the planning of conservation work.
