After the first debate on the state of the municipality that was held at the proposal of the Municipal Socialist Group, the PSOE spokesman to José Ignacio Gras claimed "the need to translate into resolutions and agreements the fundamental lines of work for the coming years"
Following the repeated requests of the Municipal Socialist Group after the debate on the state of the municipality, on October 20 the Board of Spokesmen agreed that each group will present the main lines for the coming months before 17 November.
The Municipal Socialist Group presented yesterday its battery of proposals of resolution
Plans to continue promoting in the coming weeks a series of measures, through motions and other initiatives, aimed at eliminating existing inequalities between neighbors living in districts compared to those in the city, as well as allowing a municipality Sustainable development that combats social exclusion, is committed to education, employment and culture.
According to José Ignacio Gras, "the initiatives we are presenting today want to mark the road map with which we intended to conclude the Debate of the State of the Municipality in the form of resolutions, with commitments by a majority of the Corporation, but the rest of The groups did not see fit. We, however, want to push for specific plans that will improve the lives of citizens. "
The proposals that will be defended by the socialist councilors add to the work developed over the last 15 months.
A work that has taken place in 107 motions presented in Plenary, of which 80 have been their own and the remaining 27 in collaboration with other groups, mostly from the opposition.
In addition, the Municipal Socialist Group has submitted a total of 420 internal communications (requests for information, copies of files or requests for arrangements, improvements and other) to the different councils of the City of Murcia.
Of those 324 requests, 170 are still pending to be answered or resolved by the Government team, which represents more than a third of those presented.
In many cases, the petition is reiterated in the absence of a response.
Lines of work
One of the lines of work has to do with the correction of inequalities in the municipality, and for this the PSOE will propose that the next Budgets of 2017 pick up a specific Investment Plan for districts, with extraordinary financing.
In addition, the Budgets will contemplate an increase in the items destined to current expenditure and investments, with regular funds, and the City Council will commit to create the Single Office to attend to the Municipal Boards and expedite its administrative procedures, within a term not exceeding three months .
In this sense, the Socialist Group wants the Corporation to involve the Autonomous Community and parliamentary groups of the Regional Assembly to recover the agreements of the Plan of Pedanías, Provincial, Peripheral and / or Depressed Neighborhoods, as well as to study the management Direct of all the public transport lines of the municipality of Murcia, with shared financing, in this case, in the frame of the Table of the Transportation.
In terms of social policy, and to achieve a municipality that fights against inequality and social exclusion, a commitment will be made to increase in the next municipal budgets the items in social policies, with the agreement that at the end of the mandate is reached Less 10 percent of them.
On the other hand, that in 2017 a Plan for Access to Housing and Social and Urban Rehabilitation of the neighborhoods will be a reality.
Another of the commitments assumed by the Socialist Group, which will be transferred to the rest of the Corporation, is the increase in the next municipal budgets of the items destined to the actions of entrepreneurship and creation of employment, within the Local Employment Pact.
Likewise, to develop in collaboration with the Autonomous Community a Construction Plan and / or expansion of Public Infantile Schools.
The two remaining lines of work have to do with the elaboration of the Strategic Plan for Cultural and Heritage Policy, with the participation of all the political groups and groups involved in our municipality, and that the administrative reorganization of the City Council, already committed to a Motion of July 31, 2015, with the preparation of the List of Work Posts, be a reality before the end of the year.
