The Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture, following the activities scheduled for the celebration of the 750th anniversary of the Council of Murcia, has convened the First Contest of children and youth stories 'Knowing my roots'.

In it could participate the schoolchildren of the municipality between 8 and 14 years with their stories about the history, traditions or customs of Murcia

This contest aims to promote, promote and disseminate the identity and reality of Murcia as a city of encounter and coexistence between cultures.

The categories of children's short story (5th and 6th grade) and short juvenile story (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of ESO) have been established.

The deadline for submission of originals has been extended until January 17, 2017 so that all children who want to participate can do so.
