The theater group consists of 18 actors and a sound technician, internal users of the Canteras Occupational Center, a center for the care of people with intellectual disabilities, which is part of the Instituto Murciano de Acción Social (IMAS).
This Tuesday, November 15, a day of inclusive theater and functional diversity was developed at the Center of Art and Community Action "La Estación de Beniaján" (Fundación Cepaim).
To this day has been invited the theater group "Candilejas" of the Occupational Center of Canteras with his work "The Legend of the Prince of the Sea", a story staged.
Some 70 children from elementary and junior high school from the schools Nuestra Seńora de La Fuensanta and La Naranja from Beniaján attended the show and enjoyed the history and staging of the theater group Candilejas.
Both artists and spectators have been entertained throughout the performance, even asking for an encore, when all the boys and girls have risen from their seats to dance and applaud.
The Cepaim Foundation has been developing this line of social inclusion with people with disabilities in La Estación de Beniaján since 2013.
The day was Juan Antonio Segura State Director of Fundación Cepaim and Raúl Martínez Ibars Deputy Director and coordinator.
