The Plaza de Romea will host next Friday the Jumilla Wine Fair, an event organized by the City of Murcia and the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin, which takes place coinciding with the celebration of its 50 years.
From 20 hours to 23 hours, or end of stock, fourteen wineries will share their best wines with those who approach this central square.
The Mayor, José Ballesta, has stated that "Murcia proudly adds to the 50th anniversary of the Jumilla denomination of origin and makes it as it is, an open and welcoming city that puts its streets and squares at the disposal of the entire region.
That is why, that other municipalities come to Murcia in important moments for them is a satisfaction and a pride for us. "
"We make available to all the region our public thoroughfare, our facilities and infrastructures and our human and material resources, as it corresponds to a city that receives with open arms those who arrive from other places" indicated Ballesta in the act of presentation of This Fair, in which the president of the Regulatory Council, Pedro Lencina, also participated.
In recent years, Murcia has been characterized as a host city, recalled the Mayor, who also highlighted the growth of 30% registered in its population in the last 20 years, in which have added 125,000 inhabitants.
Regarding the Jumilla Wine Fair that will take place on Friday, the mechanics of participation are simple.
Attendees must buy for 5 € the drink specially engraved by the DOP Jumilla.
With it you can request at the tables of the participating wineries the wine that you prefer to taste of how many will be available to you.
Between position and position, the wine is drained in order to continue tasting new wines together with the accompaniments chosen by each winery;
Cheese, nuts, ham and others.
The wineries that will share their best wines with the attendees are Hacienda del Carche, Torrecastillo, Bodegas Carcelén, Carchelo, Ego Bodegas, Casa de la Ermita, Delampa, Bodegas Xenysel, BSI, Finca Luzón, Bleda, Arloren, Bodegas Fernández y Pío Of the Branch.
