Viudes proposed to the Socialist Group to end a situation of injustice between districts that fulfilled the payment and others that did not, facilitating to the establishments that could place their bars without cost during the days of patronal celebrations

A few months ago, the Municipal Council of Cabezo de Torres, presided over by the socialist Francisco Viudes, detected that no trade asked permission to place food and drink bars on the street during Carnival.

Faced with this breach of the municipal ordinance that had been taking place for a long time without any control and that could impose high fines for merchants, the Municipal Board announced the situation to Councilman Decentralization, José Guillén, and the Municipal Socialist Group.

As a consequence, the bars of the hamlet had to pay the corresponding fee to remove the bar to the public, being the first time that the ordinance was fulfilled and acted with legality.

But the rates were very high and consequently, many bars doubted whether to continue to place bars or not during the holidays.

At this point, the Municipal Council of Cabezo de Torres and its mayor, Francisco Viudes, proposed that bars and shops could place bars on the street free of charge during the holiday period of the districts.

This claim was collected by the Municipal Socialist Group and presented to the Councilor of Finance during the negotiation to include amendments to the Fiscal Ordinances.

Finally, the result was positive and it was approved to include this change, which will be an outlet for bars and local people who want to participate in the festivities of the districts of the municipality, without involving a greater disbursement and in order to encourage trade in each zone.
