Councilor for Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro Corchón, has stated that "there is already a project of the Green Path of La Alquibla to turn it into a pedestrian promenade," but has qualified Navarro, who being a public domain Hydraulic, "it is necessary the authorization of the Board of Landlords requested already by the City of Murcia.
Navarro recalled that a full inspection of the stretch of the Alquibla Acequia between Algezares and La Alberca was begun a year ago, detecting the debris spills at that time and initiating the cleaning procedure.
