Eight services for so many diners, in a large table of four square meters that presides the room of the Chapel in the building of the Rectorate, serve the artist to him to Ascención Garci'a to talk about to the most pressing problems that, in his opinion, they plan in These moments in our society.
On Wednesday, November 9, at 8 pm, the exhibition "A snack of crazy" will be inaugurated in the room of the Convalescence of the University of Murcia, the professor of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona Ascensión García.
The exhibition will remain on display until next January 4.
The artist draws on Lewis Carroll's novel "Alice in Wonderland" to compose an exhibition rich in reference objects the clock, teapot and other elements present in Carroll's work - and in readings, reproducing a theme Fascinating, in the opinion of Eva Santos Sánchez-Guzmán, curator of the exhibition: "the theme of the nature of language, artistic language explored by Ascension and used in this piece full of messages, sometimes explicit and other suggested moments."
The eight diner services that make up this luncheon snack allude to different themes: immigrants, refugees, unemployment ... The environment, for example, is represented by a group of felted stones that represent the earth, with felt Protection you need.
Everything in this exhibition is included as a reference to these social issues, including that key with the legend "Path of freedom", which allowed Alicia to enter that wonderful country, just as immigrants and refugees can mean the Way to that freedom with which they dream, the possibility of a better world.
Visitors to this exhibition will also find various texts from Alice that serve the author to clarify the general concept to the viewer and introduce you in your message.
