'Race Driver: How to combine education and / or work with sport?'
This is the title of the scheduled conference in Brussels on November 15, organized by the 'Sport Intergroup' the European Parliament belonging to the European Commission for Sport.
Experts from various countries will participate in the two round tables that comprise the event.
UCAM is the only Spanish institution present at this meeting and Antonio Sánchez Pato, dean of the Faculty of Sport, will participate in the second round table: How to ensure the quality of services dual career?
"The invitation to participate in this conference in Brussels implies that the European Union has UCAM within its group of experts on issues of dual career in training and sport. For they are a reference model and even more after the 16 Rio Olympics in which many athletes of our university have participated and have achieved great success, "said the dean of the Faculty of Sport.
Along with the UCAM, they will take part in this meeting representatives of European universities and institutions that have some experience in the model of dual career, such as the Austrian Football Association, the University of 'Southern Denmark', the University of Amsterdam or European Handball Players Association, among others.
Antonio Sánchez Pato, this invitation is the result of a set of whole university effort and in particular the OPRI (International Project Office): "The model was already there and are working to improve it but they have had the opportunity to go further and have a European dimension that did not exist before. "
