The Government Board has approved the call for competition for the selection and subsequent recruitment in training of 118 student-workers for the Joint Employment-Training Program for young beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System in collaboration with the Employment and Training Service Training.
Specifically, the selection process of 40 working students for the Aulario Fica III project, 38 for the Palmar gastro-tourism IV project, 24 for the Vistabella II Gardens project and 16 for the CIM Energy Efficiency project I will be opened.
The students will obtain a certificate of official professionalism recognized and valued in the productive system, thus improving their possibilities of employment.
The first of these programs, AULARIO FICA III, aims to enable the professional qualification for the labor insertion of 40 young people, under 25 years old.
In this case, the students will learn five specialties: masonry, auxiliary operations of continuous coatings under construction, plumbing operations and domestic air conditioning, assembly and maintenance of low voltage electrical installations and carpentry and furniture works.
The participants will carry out the construction of two new multipurpose classrooms in FICA, as well as the adaptation of the exterior space between these two new classrooms and those built in the previous phase.
They will also carry out rainwater evacuation, air conditioning, electricity and telecommunications installations and manufacture the necessary furniture to equip them.
The program to be developed in El Palmar has the objective of training 38 unemployed people aged between 25 and 54 years in the tourism sector, specifically in the hotel sector, where professionals are currently demanding and which is one of our most active sectors In the generation of economy and job creation.
Participants will receive training in alternation with work and professional practice in three specialties: cooking, confectionery and confectionery and bar and cafeteria services.
During the course, which will last for one year, students will carry out various activities, including:
- The elaboration of 65 menus daily for the supper of the users of the Patronage of Abandoned Jesus;
- The promotion of parties and products through their participation in municipal events and commemorative events of great competition (fairs, museums, municipal events, and commemorative events, etc.);
- Restaurant service and bar-cafeteria in the CFIE El Palmar dining room to practice;
- Collaboration with CEOM (Association for the Integration of People with Intellectual Disabilities) by producing desserts for its users;
- To make known gastro-tourist cultural elements of the municipality, contributing to an image of Murcia as a place of great tourist offer.
On the other hand, in the Vistabella Gardens II program the specialties of gardening auxiliaries, installation and maintenance of gardens and the production of seeds and plants will be taught.
Young people enrolled in the national system of Youth Guarantee, from 16 to 25 years, who will carry out the maintenance and improvement of Vistabella gardens, expanding the activities to other green spaces such as El Jardín Infantil de Trafico (outdoor and indoor) And the Garden of Av. Juana Jugán.
In the CIM-Eficiencia Energetica program, also for youngsters from 16 to 25 years, will be taught the specialties of assembly and maintenance of solar photovoltaic installations and another of assembly and maintenance of installations of public address, sound of premises and closed circuit television.
During this internship, students will work on the installation of 2 solar photovoltaic plants in the CIM-M and the Local Development Agency, and public address and closed circuit TV in several municipal buildings.
Alternating training and work
The mixed employment-training programs conducted in collaboration with the Regional Employment and Training Service allow the persons involved to receive vocational training for employment in alternation with work and professional practice.
Likewise, they receive, throughout the project, guidance, advice and professional information that will enable them, both for the search of employment for others, and for the establishment for their own account.
With this system, subject to the call for Local Public Employment, it is possible to promote the acquisition of work experience and improve the occupation of people in unemployment situation, while executing works of general interest.
The course will be extended for 12 months, with a 3-month stage for theoretical-practical training and 9 months where the students will be students-workers hired by City Council in contract for training, charging 75% of the interprofessional minimum wage.
