20,000 euros are awarded to the UMU residents to stay murcianos students abroad (02/11/2016)

The Governing Council of the Autonomous Community has approved the direct award of a grant of 20,000 euros to the University of Murcia and 10,000 euros to the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) for the implementation of a program of study visits or research aimed at Murcia and their descendants resident abroad for the 2016-2017 course.

The resolution states that the measure aims to strengthen links Murcia with Murcia and Murcia living abroad and their descendants and attract talents to try to recover them.

Other objectives are collaboration in the transfer of scientific and technological knowledge generated in universities and research center of international social and productive fabric and give visibility to the Region of Murcia and its public universities among its international partners.

The activities to be funded through these grants must be made within ten months, from November 1, 2016.
