Representatives from various Spanish municipalities have known this morning the Smart City project in Murcia Smart Cities seminar held in Madrid and organized by the Foundation Socinfo sponsored by Zitycard and IBM.
In organizing this conference they have helped the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, Red.es and the municipalities of Murcia, Palencia, Ponferrada, Alicante, Valladolid, Valencia and Segovia.
Thus, it has unveiled the smart city project framed in the overall strategy of the City of Murcia and presented to the call of Red.es, getting an investment of 8 million euros, the most important nationally.
The 'MiMurcia: Your Council Intelligent, Close, open and innovative "project, beneficiary of the' II Call for Smart Cities' of the Digital Agenda for Spain seeks to generate new opportunities for economic development, while quality of life is improved Murcia and public services they receive
The 'MiMurcia' initiative aims to develop a platform to bring the City to citizenship, citizen personalizing information depending on their context, location and time.
It is based on three main lines of action.
The first proposes the creation of a single monitoring center that will integrate solutions as a Single Center proactive monitoring and smartcity platform.
The second axis, called 'Living Murcia' includes actions to revitalize the city center.
Including the improvement of intermodal public transport, reducing parking time in the city, smart parking and parking for the disabled and smart pedestrian steps.
Efficient lighting also in the center, map of city noise, intelligent selective waste collection, trade promotion at the center and profiling users and tourists.
In third place is 'Enjoy Murcia', which includes performances focused on the parks and gardens of the city: irrigation automation systems, efficient lighting, surveillance and security, improving municipal wireless network and monitoring of environmental conditions.
