The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, visit this afternoon, at 18.00, the new parking of public use, situated next to the Juan Avenue de Bourbon, a new area of ​​deterrent parking in the northern part of the city, with a total of 104 places at affordable prices and flat rate, which has been opened to the public today.

"The environment of Juan de Borbon is an area of ​​the expanding city and very close to the center, so create a new zone of overflow parking for public use, helps to decongest the center and improve traffic flow," forward the mayor, who added that "this year have enabled 450 new positions within the Aparcamurcia network in two areas of high demand in the municipality: Juan de Borbon and environment of La Arrixaca, where last May opened the new parking public use with 346 new positions ".

Work began to run this summer in a municipal area of ​​2,700 square meters, located between the school Fuenteblanca and Santiago and Zaraiche Avenue (between Calle Periodista Antonio Herrero, Maestra Carmen Mendez and Caribbean Sea, 120 meters from the Avenue Juan de Borbon).

This is a parking lot of accessible, affordable, well located and equipped with a video surveillance system for public use.

It offers free public transport by road (line 'LAT 50B' in front of the parking line 'Circular 5' to 100 meters), tram (200 meters, at the stop Abenarabi) and the bike path and system of public bicycle rental MuyBici, Avenida Juan de Borbon.

These parking spaces enabled the new 100 in April last year in La Condomina and another opened in the City of Justice in June 2015. In addition, hundreds joined in the latter setting another 150 parking spaces for public use contemplated that they may be enabled when demand requires it.

Flat rate

For occasional use of these squares, which feature video surveillance system and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the rates established are as follows: 0,015 euros per minute, up to 60 minutes € 0.50, up 120 minutes € 1.00, up to 180 minutes € 1.50, € 2.00 up to 240 minutes, up to 300 minutes € 2.50 and € 3.00 for 24 hours.

For those users who wish to make frequent and continuous use of these car parks, which will also have places reserved for the disabled, temporary fertilizers are established with the following flat rates: 18 € weekly, 40 € monthly, 70 bi-monthly, 90 € quarterly and annual € 300.
