The House approved unanimously as institutional declaration a motion of PP for Murcia is leading the fight against climate change (29/09/2016)

The full City Council of Murcia has unanimously approved an institutional declaration, the motion presented by the Popular Municipal Group pursued adherence to the letter of commitment Greenpeace to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases caused by urban mobility in the municipality, at least 50% at least 2030.

This statement aims to continue placing Murcia a leading municipality in the fight against climate change, as has been recognized in different awards from the actions undertaken in this area since the city of Murcia, as the calculation of the carbon footprint, workshops to help companies calculate their mark, etc.

In order to carry out this commitment, the City Council will incorporate this objective in the Plan of Sustainable Urban Mobility in force in the strategy to combat climate change of Murcia, the Plan of Action for Climate and Sustainable Energy (PACES), as well as all mobility plans and climate change to be developed or updated during the current legislature.
