The Governing Council authorized the signing of an agreement between the Community, through the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure, and the city of Murcia, to implement improvements in bus lines 30 and 78 to facilitate mobility between the city and pedanías.

The aim is to promote and improve public transport of passengers between the towns that make up the South Coast of the city and the hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca, and between Zeneta your referral hospital, the Reina Sofía Hospital in Murcia.

With this agreement, improvements and a greater number of expeditions in the current line 30, which connects the hamlet of Zeneta with the city center are introduced, and line 78, which connects Dryland Torreagüera, La Arrixaca and the campus is implanted Espinardo university, which is the only transportation hub that enables mobility between districts and the center of Murcia.

These lines are incorporated into the MU-093, granting of regional ownership, and their services will be provided by the current concessionaire, LAT.

Consequently, the City financed by a grant from the provision of services, which this year allocated an amount of 350,653 euros.

Of this amount, 319,699 euros correspond to the line 78 and 30,954 euros to the line 30.

This agreement is the result of the agreement signed in July between the Community and the city of Murcia to cooperate in the development and processing of the necessary improvements in public transport to facilitate mobility between the city and districts.

In addition, a monitoring committee consisting of two representatives of the Directorate General of Transport and Ports Costas members and two representatives of the Department of Public Works to maintain regular working meetings and establish ways to increase the quality of public transport will be created.

The agreement does not derive economic obligations.
