Neighborhoods and districts will receive an investment of 10.4 million euros for the execution of nearly a hundred projects aimed at improving water networks in the municipality.
The action plan, to be implemented over the last quarter of 2016 and in 2017, has been approved by the board of directors of Aguas de Murcia, with the favorable votes of PP, PSOE and C's.
The works include the construction of new sections, interconnections and improvement of the supply network.
With this objective will be implemented 34 projects worth over 3.7 million euros.
"These are actions that will improve those sections of the network for various reasons, such as age or high frequency of breakdowns, failure, etc., it is desirable to be replaced, which will result in improved service they receive Murcia" Roque said Ortiz, Councillor for Public Works.
Moreover, interconnections aimed at improving service conditions such as pressure or supply security as well as extensions of the existing network in new coverage areas will be undertaken.
Similarly, 39 new stretches interventions, rehabilitation, renovation and improvement of the sewerage system in the municipality, in which almost 4.5 million euros will be invested will be developed.
Ortiz has said that in this way may extend sanitation services to areas that currently lack it and sewerage sections for various reasons, such as improved state of conservation, leaks, insufficient transport capacity, etc., is conveniently they are replaced.
Finally, the board of directors of Aguas de Murcia today agreed to carry out 20 actions aimed at improving production processes, for which 2.2 million euros will be allocated.
