The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the rector of the University of Murcia, José Orihuela, today unveiled five new benches public bicycle MUyBICI which the council has enabled on the campus of Espinardo, coinciding with the celebration of Car Free Day and the closure of the European Mobility Week.
José Ballesta said that "the number of potential users of these new five stations is about 15,000 people, including students and university workforce, and it is estimated that some 2,000 new registrations will occur in the system."
In addition, students can use the bicycles from any of the other 55bancadas that already exist in the municipality of Murcia to the Campus de Espinardo and vice versa.
"Both the young and the faculty and staff of the UMU enjoy discounts of 25% on standard rates, and travel between campuses and within the campus of Espinardo are free," added the mayor.
The five caucuses have a total of 20 anchors ten bikes each.
The annual discount of 25% of moving from 40 to 30 euros per year, while the monthly is reduced from 18 to 13.50 euros and so with other rates.
