The Board of Governors approved the text of the cooperation agreement between the city of Murcia and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) to discuss the development and implementation of the provisions of planning as a basis for the development of the criteria to be followed in the planning of the municipality of Murcia.
The intervention of the Polytechnic University, through the Department of Urban Planning of the School of Architecture, is a guarantee of objectivity, methodology and rigorous analysis of the current, both urban and environmental situation.
The agreement, promoted by the Department of Planning, Environment and Huerta, who heads Antonio Navarro Corchón, lays the foundation for the revision of the General Plan of Murcia, agreed by the plenary.
Work carried out research involves collaboration of both entities given the mutual interest in the use of the results obtained, as well as the sharing of personal resources and material resources of both institutions for their development.
the intervention of a multidisciplinary team from the University involving school students and conducting research and outreach work is planned in conjunction with municipal technicians of Environment and Urban Development, as well.
