2,200 over all 76 social centers in the municipality of Murcia will benefit Gerontogimnasia courses aimed at improving their quality of life.

Specifically, the Governing Board approved the contract documents for hiring the service conducting 180 training courses in this area, for a maximum amount of 247,802 euros.

With this initiative, partners / as centers improve their quality of life and health, practicing progressive, safe and adapted to their needs and providing them a range of skills that facilitate social participation exercise.

The duration of the contract, which depends on the Department of Social Rights, headed Conchita Ruiz Caballero, it is two years since the formalization of it.

In addition, the Board of Governors approved the award of the supply of furniture (chairs, tables, chairs, cabinets, sofas, etc) for 76 social centers for the elderly in the municipality of Murcia, in order to cover the need for replacement of household necessary for the proper functioning of older units.

The City of Murcia intended for this purpose an amount of 50,000 euros.
