During the ceremony an agreement with UCOMUR will be signed and submitted the Master in Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Corporate Diplomacy at the Catholic University of Murcia
"From the RSC Chair of the UCAM bet because it is possible a different economic model, an economy with a human face".
With these words Victor Meseguer, director of the same, referring to the firm commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility he has led the university to the creation of this Chair, and now, the Open Forum CSR, which will be presented next Friday, September 9.
During the ceremony, a cooperation agreement was also formalized with UCOMUR for the promotion and development of CSR, and presented the first edition of the Master in Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Corporate Diplomacy at the Catholic University of Murcia.
The event will involve José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM;
Juan Hernandez, Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment of the CARM;
Juan Antonio Pedroza, president of UCOMUR, and Victor Meseguer Director of the Chair RSC-UCAM.
One of the first initiatives that will hold the Forum will be the most responsible intervention CSR of the European community.
In addition, periodically another series of presentations will be scheduled by experts in the field.
As indicated from the Chair, there is a real need for training in CSR.
After the current economic and financial crisis, "it warns us that we must regain the paths of economic growth but not at any price."
Therefore they point to the need to settle on legal principles of respect for individual and collective rights, economic law of mutual benefit, and ethical principles of preservation of perishable resources, heritage of future generations.
Why the UCAM is a good example of CSR?
There are several aspects that position at the Catholic University of Murcia as a good example of Corporate Social Responsibility.
Proof of this is, firstly, their CSR and social action.
UCAM helps many social organizations working with people with disabilities as well as organizations working to eradicate poverty and social exclusion.
Second, they support the sport, promoting athletes, example for young people to bet on a healthier life and the effort and sacrifice in pursuit of their goals.
In addition, the University has promoted through an International Congress, the most innovative CSR document today, the encyclical Laudato If the Pope Francisco.
