After opening last May first I bibliomercado in the Plaza de Saavedra Fajardo, the departments of Commerce and Education and work in seeking new areas to expand this service to other markets in neighborhoods and districts whose location is not close to a municipal library.
To this end, the councilors Maria del Carmen Pelegrin and Rafael Gomez have held this morning a meeting with vendors Piazza San Andrés, whose facilities could host the next I bibliomercado.
This new free service offers the ability to access loan by dozens of titles on gastronomy, food, diet, nutrition, health, lifestyle and sports, in addition to literary and film news.
Its implementation has a dual purpose, explains Pelegrin: "Our desire is to expand the services that citizens can find in town squares and at the same time, pursue new lines of support and collaboration with merchants".
In this sense, the creation of a network of bibliomercados is "one of the actions in which we are working within the global plan of modernization and improvement of the seats, along with the expansion also classrooms for fine dining or the planned creation of a gastromercado in Saavedra Fajardo, in addition to the renovation work being carried out in different facilities, "said Pelegrin.
