The Department of Traffic and Public Safety, who runs Lola Sanchez, is carrying out since last July a plan of implementation of small civil works and road safety leveraging the summer months.
This is intended to improve the horizontal and vertical signaling, regulation and reorganization of traffic and encourage pedestrian traffic by removing small protrusions on sidewalks, remodeling radii of curvature of islands or sidewalks, placing and repairing fences pedestrian protection, milestones or the like, and modifying the geometric layout of any intersection in order to achieve better visibility and maneuverability.
The work, totaling twenty, began in July and run until September.
Among the works already executed, it highlights adaptation to universal accessibility of pedestrian crossing in the Juan de Borbon Avenue with Ronda de Levante, which consisted in adapting the central median in order to ensure more surface adapted waiting at the crossing.
